Hey, Yes I have used the search button and have read some things, but wanted to have more clear answers. I have a SR MBP 2.4 and when it's connected to the power plug the temperatures raise a lot... the CPU stays normal like 51~55ºC but what worries me is the GPU that goes to 60ºC which is normal... but when I'm just simply browsing and watching some flash based sites or youtubes I get like 70ºC > ... and the fans kick in at max... Is this normal on all SR MBPs? Thanks in advance

edit: I forgot to add, yesterday I walked in a local store which had 2 sr mbp's on display and they are there obviously without the battery, but I noticed it was much cooler than mine... It could be the battery.. but just wanted to ask if everyone has the same thing as me or if it's my prolblem

This is my 2.2ghz SR MBP which has been plugged in all day, and I'm running dual screens now, itunes, Adium, EyeTV, Safari and Firefox:

I don't really monitor it much to be honest, so I couldn't give you much more info than that!

Hey, thanks for the input, that actually put me in some perspective and helped me... just one more thing, when it's plugged in do you hear sometimes your fans kicking in a little bit? Sometimes I check on istat and it shows the fans at something like 4000 or 5000 rpm

Your temperature looks OK to me... Same like what I have observed during normal browsing and stuff... My fans sometimes speeds up a bit but then slows down again... I think this is good since it makes your mac cool

Your temp is fine. Mine has never gone above those numbers, and my friends who have MBP's have the same numbers as well.
