When powered on and connected to the power, my SR MBP whines and the noise is coming from inside the computer case by the magsafe port. This is very annoying, and i would like to fix it. I have applecare, but i dont want to be without my computer for a week.

I am not sure what this thread is about? What is the problem? You have no question in your post, so I assume you just have to suck it up and send it in.

I have the exact same problem too, and I traced it back to the AirPort.

If you try turning AirPort off then it'll go away, turn it back on and the noise will come back.

I only noticed this when I had AirPort running (ICS for my Nintendo DS)

I believe the antenna for AirPort is right next to the MagSafe connector, blame Apple for bad internal organisation of their hardware.

Hope this helps.
