Upgraded from XSi to 40D and am extremely excited to be getting the new camera. I was a bit nervous about giving up 2 megapixels but the research I did suggested I won't notice the difference. In fact, I'm expecting the 40D to have better IQ than the XSi.

One question I have concerns the use of sRAW on the 40D. Does anyone have experience using it? Does it save a lot of space without much of a compromise in quality? One of the main reasons I got the 40D was its ability to shoot 17 RAW images in sequence. If those images can be compressed with minimal loss of IQ, that will be even better.

Anyone using sRAW for photos?

I did some more research and I know better understand the difference between the two.

The majority of the photos I take will have a probability of being 8X10 or larger - sounds like I'll be sticking to RAW.

Thanks for the response.
