SSD 870 EVO in iMac 21.5 Mid-2011

Hi guys,
I would like to know if it’s Ok to exchange HDD from iMac 21.5 Mid-2011 for a SSD 870 EVO ?
I read some info regarding this procedure and it could not work as well.

That Samsung SSD should work fine.
You will need this temp sensor (or something similar) to control your hard drive fan.

I’ve searched this temp sensor in Amazon Braszil (where I live) and unfortunately it is sold out
I saw some videos teaching to use the app “Macs Fan Control” in order to manage fan according temp sensor info from SSD.
It could be an alternative solution while I try to get temp sensor cable you have suggested ?

Yes, that is another method for controlling the fan speed.
Works OK... I prefer the hardware solution
