Hi,
I had my System installed on a SSD and moved Home Directory, /private/tmp and Sleepimage to my as well intern HDD (MacBook Pro).
A couple days ago the HDD seamed to be really slow and i scanned the drive, repaired it and with out thinking I fixed as well the permissions on the SSD.
Disk Utility told me my HDD partition is ****ed up and need to be formatted. So I started up in to the terminal to figure out that he made me an new tmp folder on the original destination. But still, I could not start my system anymore properly. I had done an emergency User on the SSD, but logged in as this user brought me just a grey screen. The HDD is not mountable any more.
So my question:
I have to set up the system again. I will replace the HDD. If I set it up as before, can't I use Disk Utility anymore?
Or should I make a Fusion Drive out of bough drives? And if I do so, does this work with Boot Camp? And does it Trim it self then??
Thank you very much for help!
