I plan on using the drive for booting the iMac up each day. The SSD drive should be about 500 GB to replace the internal drive which will be used for my random files.

Bohemien macrumors regular Mar 28, 2019 136 81 Germany Apr 23, 2019 #3 I think 10.6.8 doesn’t support the TRIM command by itself, so you might wanna install TRIM Enabler (find it with Google, I’m on mobile right now).
