SSD drive for a iMac on 10.6.8

I'm looking for an external SSD drive for my mid-2011 iMac running 10.6.8. I plan on using the drive for booting the iMac up each day. The SSD drive should be about 500 GB to replace the internal drive which will be used for my random files.

Look for a Thunderbolt external caddy for the SSD. That model having USB2 is too slow to use as a boot drive.

I think 10.6.8 doesn’t support the TRIM command by itself, so you might wanna install TRIM Enabler (find it with Google, I’m on mobile right now).
