Any SSD will fit.

Personally I'd recommend either Crucial or Samsung.

I have the same Mini as you and at first used a 120GB SSD in USB3 case, it made quite a bit of difference to the startup speed and general use of the machine. I later took out the internal 500GB HDD drive and replaced it with a 250GB Samsung 840 Evo SSD and this increased the start up speed and file access even more. The internal 500GB drive was then put in a USB3 case and used for general storage.

There was something about TRIM support being enabled in the El Capitan, but there being a problem with Samsung drives not working with it. Anyone know if this is still the case? I really want one of the 500GB EVO drives as they seem about the best deal, but I've been in a holding pattern for a long time waiting for this to resolve.
