SSD for MacMini with SL 10.6.8 Trim needed?

I want to revamp my MacMini server and use it for photo editing purposes. Do I need Trim software on SL 10.6.8? Should it be the case, how can I activate, which software? Thanks

Thanks for the answer. This application does not interfere with Mac OS X as I read that another TRIM enabler messed up with resources...?
