I recently bought this PNY SSD drive with 480Gb to upgrade by macbook pro retina (model 11)...

It seems branded largely at PCs but the tech guy at the store I bought it from assured me it would fit inside most laptops (including a macbook pro) and I've found bits of information on the net to back up that claim.

Here's what the inside of my mac looks like (with it's existing 128Gb SSD card removed)...

So the obvious question is - am I missing something very obvious, or is there no way this SSD card I bought is compatible with my macbook pro? Both in terms of it being too big and in terms of the connectors not lining up.

I haven't been able to find any video tutorials showing this exact install so am guessing I'm doing something wrong, and am currently resisting the temptation to take apart the new SSD drive covering (since it will void the warranty) just in case the inner components might fit.

Hugely appreciate any thoughts on where I'm going wrong here!
