SSD in OWC Envoy case disappeared

Hi guys,

I have 2 OWC Envoy cases and 2 Apple SSDs (256GB) connected to my Mac Pro 6,1, running Big Sur 11.6.3.

This current setup is driving me nuts as both SSDs will disappear just a couple of days after having them set up as new external USB drive. I even can't tell you for how many days they will work as their disappearance happens like all the sudden after starting my Mac.

All further external HDDs are working just fine except those 2 SSDs...

Please can anybody help me to fix this problem?

I'm having a similar problem, but I'm on Monterey. My Envoy Express, connected to an iMac 2021 model, had been operating flawlessly, but since allowing the last couple of Monterey betas to install, my SSD has managed to disconnect a couple/few times. Rebooting brings it right back. I've read elsewhere that it may be an issue with the screensaver coming on. For now, I'm going to disable the screensaver and see what that gets me.

Now I'm running Monterey 12.2.1 on my Mac Pro 6,1 but this crappy issue is still there... :-(
