Managed to get my Pcie ssd set up and running.
Using velocity x1 with a crucial M500 ssd attached (120gb)
Put it in slot 2 of my mac pro 3.1 (x16 i believe) but my write speed is 142 and my read speed is 266. That seems slow for my set up. Any ideas?

I have a gtx 680 installed. Currently running on 2gb of ram til delivery man beings my other 8gb sometime this century.

That seems to be about right. the 120GB SSD is slower than 240GB and up. Plus the Velo X1 is slower than the Velo X2.

I have the Velo x2 with a Sandisk SSD and it's very fast I get max speed in a 3,1 Mac Pro. I put it in Slot 2 (above GFX card).

Bugger! Knew it would be something like that. Hoped it was just an optimisation issue but that sounds likely.
Wish it could boot faster though. Takes way too long for an SSD and GTX 680 together in my opinion. 47 seconds it takes to appear on screen. Any idea of how to make it boot quicker?
