I purchased a kingston SSD at best buy about 6 months ago and installed it in the lower optical bay in my mac pro (2010 6-core model) I have it scheduled to shut down and boot up every night and it seems every month or so the drive becomes corrupt and it cannot boot the OS. So i restore it and its good for another month or so then it happens again. Does anyone have any idea if this is a hardware or software issue, and how to fix it?

Truly there is no reason to do a re-boot every night. Once a week is probably good enough. Aside from that what SSD model is the kinston? Is it Sandforce based?

Yeah I realize that, but my computer is in my bedroom and I like it quiet. But rebooting every night shouldn't cause problems should it? even though it isn't necessary. And I'm not sure, looking at the specs online I don't see that it is. It is the SSDNow 100 V.
