I am planning on purchasing SSDs to hold my sample libraries for use with Logic. (I'm getting tired of waiting while samples load off the hard drives. I tried Raid 0 and it still took too long.)

With few exceptions, these sample libraries are never updated. I'm curious how long SSDs will last when they are rarely written to since the life cycle appears to be a function of number of writes.

I wonder if anyone done any testing under these circumstances?

They last a tremendously long time whether you write to them all the time or worry about all the writing.
