Hello,
I want to upgrade my SSD for my Mac Pro 5,1 2010 for faster HD speed. I was reading about nvme and the existing threads. I do have a Kingston nvme but it feels slow and I would get slow drive error when using Logic Pro. I see it could be a pcie 2.0 vs 3.0 issue that the hd might not be running at this optimal speed. If I get

https://www.owcdigital.com/products/accelsior-4m2 and a faster SSD will that fix my issue? Does this allow me to get the 2900mb/s read / write speed with this?

I’m not so good with computers ?

Hey bro,

These are the speeds I'm getting with my setup. It's probably not useful, but whatever...

WD Blue 3D 2.5" SSD 1TB (via USB3) (I can get peak write speeds in the low 400s, and peak reads in the high 400s)

I don't use the PCIe SSD anymore, as I am considering swapping my 580 with a larger GPU, and I may need the space. I also have the Angelbird Wings X2, and it works fine, but it was not faster than the Intel 750. I don't have it installed right now, and I don't have another spare 2.5" SSD right now, so I can't post speeds.

Here's my specs. This is a 5,1.
