This is probably more of a Catalina question. I had it on my 5,1 on Sierra and HS, but it went away on Mojave. My external drives goes offline after a while. I get up the next morning, when I leave the Mac on 24/7 and sometimes there are a few SSD PCIe gone alsleep.

FIRST question - Can I get them back online without rebooting MP?

Second question - WTF?

Third - is there a setting I'm not aware of?

Hmmm. This reminds me of an issue that occurred with the Samsung XP941 when it 1st launched in 2013 and I was the 1st cMP user to give it a try. What SSD is causing the issue?

I’m pretty sure it’s the Samsung SSD 860 QVO 2TB. The other one I've noticed is another 860 QVO. They both are in OWC PCIe adaptor PCIe sleds.

1. Go into "Disk Utility" The disks should show. Click "unmount" Click "mount". They should then appear on the desktop.

2. Can't help you with that one.

I had a QVO in an external housing that I used with my cMP 5,1. Never used it as a boot device with an OS. Only used it for storage. Never had an issue with it when used for that purpose.

Thank you. Just to be clear, none are being used as boot devices.

QVO as SATA drives don't work correctly with MP5,1 or MP7,1, only as USB connected drives.

There are numerous posts about QVO drives disappearing after sleep or cold boot, don't matter if it's used as the main drive or just a data drive.

Thank you! I'll upgrade these soon. At least I now now.
