I am about to pull the trigger and buy a new i7 27, but I want a good SSD as my main HD (NOT) Apples. Is it possible to take out the 1TB drive and throw in, say, an Intel X-25m G2? It was easy enough on my mbp, but I am reading about removing screens and all kindsa craziness. Also, what about just using the superdrive bay?

Any info would be greatly appreciated as I cannot find accurate search results to verify anything :/

Yes, you can do this.
Yes, you will have to remove the screen and do "all kindsa craziness".

You should do a better search as there are many threads on this as well as some teardowns on the web.
