Does anyone know if Yosemite DP 6 enables TRIM for 3rd party SSD's again? Or should I just wait to install my SSD? (I'm doing an upgrade from a traditional HD)

I believe it does - only when you enable manually however.

I am trying to avoid a boot failure like I hear happens on Yosemite with TRIM enabled, so I didn't wanna enable on Mavericks and have a failure occur

What I did was install the SSD while the machine was running mavericks, then install TRIM Enabler. Then from there turn off TRIM, and install Yosemite. Once Yosemite is all installed, then I re-enabled TRIM.

Yes, that used to be the case with the earlier Developer Previews. The application "TRIM Enabler" has since been updated and will not cause foot failure.

I'm not sure about the TRIM command though.
