Hi Apple & Mac friends.
Which is a better way to run Windows 10 or 11 off a Late 2015 5K iMac (model has Fusion Drive, Thunderbolt 2 only; the SSD and hardisk were deliberately separated, it's not "fused" anymore) which has a PCIe 3.0 x4 interface (I don't mind opening the iMac and buying that custom, sticky tape for the 5K screen):
1. macOS on internal, 1TB SSD (PCIe 3.0 x4 has 4GB/s bandwidth), then Windows on internal, 1TB SATA SSD (600MB/s max bandwidth)
2. macOS on internal, 1TB SSD then buy external Thunderbolt 2 NVME enclosure (2.5GB/s bandwidth, more than four times the SATA II) and install a Windows to Go version of Windows 10 or 11 (Windows is for relaxing on sundays only, for games and for diagnostic tools usually)
Other recommendations are welcome.
Have a blessed week and stay safe.
