I just found out about SSHD thru this forum and would like some opinions on them compared to a drive like Hitachi Enterprise Grade

Hitachi 2TB at Amazon is 55 bucks
Seagate 2TB SSHD 113 bucks

Something's up with the Hitachi 7K3000 - Newegg has them for sale at about half price. Fire sale?

The ST2000DX001 is $102 at Newegg. It has a 3 year warranty vs 1 year for the Hitachi.

The SSHD would likely be noticeably faster, especially on random writes.

There has been a great discussion on those, Fusion, SSD and storage on www.macintouch.com reader reports, and their problems, as well as what backup is reliable.
