Hi all,

I have a stack of blurays. They are all movies that I like, but I don't like bluray because it always seems like such a torturous process for how slow it is to load movies, etc. . I'm trying to figure out the best way to essentially eliminate the bluray player from my lineup.

I'd like to rip the blurays and then just have them on my HD as movies. It seems the best way to do this is to buy the $50 bluray player from amazon (search "mac bluray", the first link) and then use MakeMKV, and then Handbrake to convert it to whatever format. Is that correct?

I know the bluray is better quality than the rip will be, but honestly the small difference in quality is irrelevant when it comes to the hassle of actually using the bluray player.

Thank you kindly
