Does anyone with the beta testing know if the apps running in stage manager that are not active (i.e. just pinned on the side) are fully running in the background?

So let’s say I could have the 2-3 main active apps open on stage manager but the app not open on stage manager is exporting/ encoding a video in the background or a video stream is going on but doesn’t stop when it’s not in the main active section?

I’d like to know this too. My thinking is since there’s a limit to the number of apps allowed in Stage Manager (I think 5 sets?), that might mean they are able to keep running.

watching Paramount plusI was exporting the video from LumaFusion. While watching Paramount plus show and it was working in background. I hope that helps you with the answer you’re looking for. I can tell you every time I switched to LumaFusion the video playing in Paramount plus would pause I am using 2021 iPad Pro 12.9 with 256 storage so 8gb ram

Very curious about this too. Right now, in order to download images to Lightroom from Creative Cloud, the app needs to be open and in the foreground, which is a pain sometimes. I realize the possible implications of an app churning away constantly in the background, resulting in an unexpectedly dead battery, but this even occurs when plugged in. Surely there's a better balance that can be had here.

I'd also like to know one other thing, somewhat related. When I'm listening to music on my iPad and browsing the web, the media player on many sites has the effect of stopping the music playback (even if there is no audio being played in Safari, even just the PRESENCE of a video player with no video actually being played is enough to halt Music). This is hugely inconvenient, and basically forces me to play the music through my iPhone instead. Has this behavior been changed?

The theory should state that only the background process would be running as Stage Manager is a feature enhancement of Multitasking. Furthermore, a fully working app in Stage Manager could mean higher CPU usage (hence lower battery life) due to several apps running in conjunction.
