Stage manager icons showing up when opening files in full screen

Hi,

When a open a file in full screen, the stage manager icons are showing in the left side. They are supposed to show only if i hover on the left side.

In ventura, the behaviour was no icons showed up when opening any files in full screen.

Its very annoying they show up when opening files in full screen.

Any way to disable it?

I want them to show, but reduced about 75%. I loose a lot of screen area if I choose large drive icons.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, in Settings/Desktop & Dock, turn "Show recent apps in Stage Manager" OFF. they go away on the left side unless you slide your cursor over to that side, then they appear.

Thank you, donwalt. I guess I like the way I see them hanging out on the left side, although they are HUGE and waste 2-3 inches wide. Visually not seeing them maybe I would forget they are there and go to the dock. Maybe that's my hang up too.Maybe they will change it in 14.1

I did turn if OFF. But they still show up when opening a file.

It used to be distracting , but i m getting used to it now.
