iPad Pro Stage Manager without a keyboard?

I am contemplating getting a 13 inch iPad Pro but really don’t want an external keyboard. How useful is stage manager with the on screen keyboard and/or an Apple Pencil? Seemingly every video on earth wants to discuss external displays and nothing else. Thanks for any info.

I use a combo of Apple Pencil and Scribble. This alongside the full screen software or floating screen board are fine. The onscreen keyboard takes up more real estate in landscape than portrait.


Not sure about long form typing but would then most likely attach it to a keyboard and mouse.

I use my Logitech mx keys with my 13 m4 at my desk, and it’s awesome! I prefer split view to stage manager so use that instead
