I know there are more folks out there like me that were blessed with bigger wrists but still prefer the link bracelet. I love mine but it's just a tad too tight and it even pinched/cut me the first time I put it on. I feel bad because I'm so close! I only need one (maybe two) links for the perfect fit. It's unknown why apple didn't plan ahead for the sale of extra links (even though their documentation refers to being able to add them).

Regardless, I just wanted to gauge how many others are out there that need extra links. I also thought it would be an opportunity to see who might have extra links out there.

It seems anymore the way to get something done is to crowdsource :cool:

I needed two extra SpaceBlack links for my watch to fit and an angel in this forum, Mymosa, sent me two of hers. She would not even allow me to pay her. My watch fit perfect now.

Might want to post in the Marketplace as many will have extra links.

It surprises me too that Apple didn't think ahead with this. If you truly want to compete with and become a luxury watch company, there are certain things you need to do. Providing extra links for your customers is one of them.

Thanks for the tip, didn't even know such a thing existed. Looks like I need to wait 5 months and have 250 posts before it's even visible to me.

Just hang around here and mention it every once in a while, there are some good people here. Even if you can get a link that does not match it is better than to have it fit tight.

Heck Apple was struggling to get the watches out the door much less spare parts. I remember calling a month ago and asking about extra links and they acted like I was crazy and told me that if my band did I not fit I got the right one. One of the few times I wanted to KILL a geek!

I agree with you and they should have been more prepared. I sure as hell hope that this is not how they will introduce the 6S!!!

This almost feels like an accessibility issue to me. Of all the issues that people email Tim Cook about, I believe that the executive team needs to hear from :apple:Watch customers who want to wear the link bracelet, but can't because it's too small. It's not like it would have to be redesigned, like other bands would, in order to offer an extra large size.

This is the one issue stopping me from ordering the stainless link band and watch, it simply doesn't fit. I saw a YouTube video that showed 3-4 extra links in a small pouch that come with the band, but that is not enough. I emailed Tim Cook out of frustration, but no response so far.

Color me disappointed.

I posted a thread asking if anyone wanted to sell their extra links, but it got yanked due to me not having enough posts. Oh well.

It's almost a certainty that Apple will eventually stock spare links in the stores. It's going to be awhile I think though. They have to get through the backlog (and possibly the launches in additional countries). Hopefully we'll hear word before the end of the year that they're available.

That being said, there may still be advised limits as to the size of the bracelet - making them too big may exceed the day to day stresses they were designed for . But, who's to say?

Have hope - pretty sure we'll see this soon!! :)

Interesting... do they really come with 3-4 extra? If so is that only with the stand alone? I didn't get any extra with my watch and I only need one maybe two.. Might be worth a chat with Apple.

In all the videos I've seen what you see is what you get, no extra links included and the little pouch only comes if you buy the watch with link bracelet.

The pouch is still empty when you get the watch with link bracelet. It's for holding the links you remove for safe keeping. The bracelet comes fully assembled.

If you have AppleCare call them and say you lost a link or two and they will charge you the replacement cost for them otherwise try the forum. Apple has them just not in the retail space yet be it online or in store.
