Stairs cracked

Hi everyone!
When I went to the AppleStore in Hamburg, to see the new iPad 3, i noticed, that one of the Stairs its cracked. A few weeks ago, I saw it once, so it seems, that they won't change it. This Store opened in September/October 2011; so it's not that old.

the stairs are glass right? some goober likely did it on purpose to see if it would break. I dont know why in this world when people see an opportunity to be a jerk they take it.

It's not a scratch; it's around 7 millimeters deep and around 1 m long. If you have a closer look, you see that it starts at the corner of this stair; unable to reach for a diamond- shoe.. By the way; I want one pair of them

it actually looks like the bolt that holds the stair has been tightened to much rather then having it crack under weight. many materials will crack if you put to much torque on them from bolts and screws.

No question, that sucker is cracked!

How the hell did anyone crack that step? It looks like it's a couple of inches thick! Maybe a defective piece of glass, or Paul Bunyan did a dance on the step.

About the shoes...sorry, they're a one off.

(Very slippery to walk on, I fall a lot. )

I perform a detailed visual structural analysis every time I use a new chair, at this stage in my life, I'd give a CAD model and structural team a run for their money!

You could have informed the apple store manager/staff so that no one gets hurt bcos of that.

If you already did inform about the crack, then you added some karma points into your bank..
