Does anyone know of a decent stand that is specifically designed for the new 24" M1 iMac?

Looking for an elegant stand that has additional ports at the side or preferably the back. I've looked at the Satechi one but I think the ports being at the front and all the leads hanging down is ugly.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

The M1 iMac is still too new to have a lot of aftermarket accessories. The Satechi stand looks good. What about just turning it backwards so the ports are in back?

The back us fugly as hell and has the lead to from the stand to the iMac for passthrough so that's a no-no. I know it's not been out long but I thought there'd be something out there.

Not designed specifically for the M1 iMac and doesn't have any ports (but you can add your own hub) twelvesouth has the Curve Riser or the HiRise Pro.

Or the Desire2 Monitor Stand Riser with Type C Thunderbolt HUB. Different company and comes with a hub. It appears to be like the Satechi but with the hub on the side and the cable to connect to the iMac on the back. Also allows you to choose which side you want to place the hub on. And it's cheaper than either of the twelvesouth choices.

I reckon the Satechi stand is elegantly practical. For SD cards and USB drives that are connected and disconnected frequently, having ports at the front is convenient. For devices that are permanently connected, another hub or dock can be placed out of the way behind the computer, or some other out of the way place.

Thanks but that has the old USB style ports. Nice looking stand though.

I get you but each to their own I guess. I'm not connecting stuff that is connected and disconnected frequently. Mine is for storage devices, a couple of printers etc etc and I just think it's ugly to have them poking out of the front.

Do you really need a lot of USB-C ports? It has one. Most stuff still comes with the A-Type connector.

Most of my stuff does have USB-C now, all my external drives etc. The only one with an A connection is my printer which I use wirelessly now anyway. Also this iMac replaced my 2009 model and in 2033 the A connector will have been obsolete for over a decade.
