Recently ordered myself one of these and thought i'd share it with the rest of you. I like that it holds the watch and the phone together. Don't think there are many others that do that. The belkin one does but not sure if that will charge the iphone as well as this one does as it's raised off the ground allowing for the charger to go in.

Downside would be that you can't see both screens at the same time, although both will show the same notifications so not the end of the world I guess. Still a pretty decent stand.

Thanks. I was looking for something like this to stop the electronic clutter. Odd design, but compact and the right price. I put it on my Amazon watch list. Still waiting for my AW & these don't ship until 5/20 so no reason to push the button just yet. Could be something better comes along by then.

Thanks for this guys, I've ordered an AppleWatch aswell and have been looking for something just like this. I can see the first one on Amazon, but can't see the second one anywhere. Whereabouts did you find this one?

Don't you worry about docks that are supporting your entire device with a single pin though? I had something like that for my iPhone 5 and by accident I knocked it over and managed to snap the connection of the lightning pin. Prefer the ones where the cable is a little free and has room for flexibility.

I guess one plus for the stand you posted about is it does keep both devices in full view, but then again it isn't the most attractive design.

----------

I've already got a Twelve South Hi Rise for my iPhone so I'll be getting one of those when they're out - in June.

Twelve South are good too, very simple clean design to their stand. And you're right deliver times are quite long which is what put me off. Also the fact that it doesn't support the phone either

If you look at the pic it's not supported by the lightening connector, it sits on a ledge with rubber pads on either side of the lightening connector.

Also, on this particular stand the lightening connector clicks into different heights so it always works with various thicknesses of cases and ensures that regardless of the case you may or may not have, the phone is always supported by the ledge and the lightening connector still makes good contact.

They have thought about everything with this particular stand, which is why I bought it. I don't like the ones that support the phone with just the connector either.

I like their design and definitely their price tag, but I don't see where the wires would be concealed or at least harnessed to. It will look like the cables will just dangle off the stand.

I ended up getting the Griffin WatchStand and overall, I'm happy with it. The charging cable wraps neatly in the stand, though I would've appreciated an extra hole near the base so I can run my iPhone's Lightning cable through there as well.

I don't think this is very big issue. The holes give you option to place the cables in the way you want and what suits your desk layout best. Some may keep their stand right next to them, others will put it hidden in the corner. I mainly like it because it charges and holds the phone. That's what I think anyway, there are many nice stands out there, all have their pro's and con's.

I like how griffin one wraps the cable inside, but imagine you had to take the charger out :mad:it would take very long. Because although I will keep a stand like the orzly one on my desk, I sometimes am away from my home for a few days so will need the cable in which case I just remove it from the stand. So it helps in that way.

You said you are happy with it, have you got yours already? the website says it is not in stock yet and only pre-order

Yes, I have mine, looks pretty sleek. The base is a quite heavy metal with rubber bottom and allows you to run the wires out from under it. The tower is made of a firm rubber that's ribbed so you can wrap it at any length, then run the rest through the hole. Then you sheath it inside the black plastic cover, then finally mount it on the base in any direction you like.

The weight of my WATCH Sport and its bands don't make it sit exactly perpendicular to the base like they show in the photos, probably because my plastic charger is not strong enough, and because I have the long White Band, my WATCH can't fit vertically while the iPhone is sitting in the dock in front of it. If and when I get the Milanese Band, I suspect it will look more even.

As soon as I get home, I'll do a video or take pictures, but overall, I still like it for the price and availability.

I assume you are talking about the Orzly, not the Griffin. If so, is your iPhone in a case and does it easily fit well on the dock or do you have to put effort into getting it onto the lightning plug? So many of these stands work great only as long as you don't have your phone in a case which is why I'm asking. Thanks.

I think the orzly one would work okay with the cable even if you have a case on it. The phone isn't placed in a slot or groove, it just rests on those two supports. Hopefully should get mine soon so I can post some pics

Yes, but it looks like it works similar to the Twelve South HiRise, but Twelve South gives you a guide on which cases will work and which won't (http://support.twelvesouth.com/customer/portal/articles/1262749-how-do-i-know-if-my-case-will-fit-). No real indication from Orzly. I hate ordering blind then getting stuck.

Great tip! It's quite a clever idea that about actually stating which cases are supported. I don't think I've ever seen companies do that until now. (But people talking about it can only be a good thing, because once a good idea starts, it's never long before all companies have to start following suit in order to survive! ;)

Thankfully with the orzly one that I went for, it uses a standard lighting cable, so is compatible with all cases, but my belkin dock for example will only fit some of them, so this would have been helpful if I had known that at the time.

I think it's pretty easy to understand tbh without the need for a detailed explanation. A lot of the stands all have large enough slots which allow you to use a case with the :apple:watch. It simply slots and wraps around the holder bit so I can't see it not working. But that's what I think anyways.

Totally agree with you here about docks for the AppleWatch. To be honest, it's more phones that are prone to have dock to case incompatibility issues. I'm glad to say that I've had less issues with my iPhone than I have had on previous phones. My old Xperia Z1 for example was a real nightmare to find any kind of dock that would work with any of my phone cases! I did succeed in the end, but I sure went through alot of expensive trial and error before I got there, so compatibility lists can definitely save customers an awful lot of hassle, and I definitely applaud and would like to encourage companies who are doing it.

That said, I can't imagine that compiling such a list would be an easy task though, as literally tonnes of devices and accessories get churned out every week. So I would definitely hate to be the one who got tasked with that job. lol.

Tried a weird experiment with my one of these the other day.... Turns out that even the Nintendo Switch fits on this, so I've started to use it that way sometimes when my iPhone's not charging, so that I don't stress out the stand that's built into the switch when I'm playing at home. Clearly Orzly hadn't intended me to use it this way, but worked rather well!
