Hi folks,

I'm here scanning images over wifi at 600dpi w\ the macbook plugged into the mains and the fans at full chat, Coconut battery shows it's still discharging faster than it's charging during the scan ...which, by the way, has the processor running at over 120% (including background services).

My questions are;

1. Will the power adaptor suffer because of the overload?

2. Why didn't Apple design an adaptor that actually does what it's supposed to when plugged in?

I should probably add that Overall I'm very happy with my MacBook and wouldn't change it for anything! I'm just curious as to why the charger isn't capable of more output.

I don't know what Macbook you have, but this is the Mac Pro Forum. You should Post your question (with more detail) here:

ahh my bad, thought it was the MacBook Pro forum - my MacBook details are in my sig - I'll assume you can't see them then.

Thanks for the heads up.

Reposted in the MacBook Pro Forums, I'd appreciate it if a Mod could delete this thread to hide my embarrassment. :eek:
