I've left my power settings on my 15" G4 (sleep, power save, etc) as automatic.
My question is this:
Is it okay to leave the computer for say 10 min (so it goes to sleep), then to wake it, work for a bit, leave again (10 min), etc?
Is it okay to let the powerbook only sleep for a few minutes at a time?
Sometimes I'm up and about every couple of minutes.

I understand the pbook going to sleep quickly when running on batteries (automatic), but what about when its plugged in?

Can I leave the settings as they are?
Should I change them?

Sleep mode is designed to save energy and be as gentle as possible when entering and exiting (otherwise, what would be the point?). Therefore, "napping" the computer (letting it sleep for short periods then waking it again) is no better or worse then letting it sleep overnight.

Go ahead and leave the sleep settings alone unless you feel like changing them or are working on a task (like backing up your computer) that would be affected if the computer went to sleep in the middle of it.
