I know there's an unofficial wrapper for OS X, but I don't want to pay a subscription and then not being able to play the game without issues...
"Pretty well" isn't good enough for me, not that I don't appreciate the effort, far from it.
I still play it fine with my Wineskin wrapper... its usually just more difficult to get set up... because you have to get the game installed yourself, since I cannot legally just leave the game inside and share it. You'd think I could since the client download is free, but Cryptic said no... they'd have to give me actual redistribution rights, which they won't do.
Some Macs will not play it right as well... but at least for me I've been able to play the game just fine since beta. it is a very fun game though even with all the haters hating on it
Cryptic has always hated Macs... never made a Mac game... and it took them selling off City of Heroes for it to get a Mac version (weeks after they sold it the Mac version was announced to be in development).
Criminal is BioWare and EA not making SWTOR for Mac... they both already make Mac games, and have a huge franchise and hype for the game, and claim they want to take on WoW. No one can take on WoW without a Mac version.
