I'm trying to Handbrake the new Star Trek, and there are over 20 2+ hour titles! No way am I going to encode all of them to find out which one is the real one.. has anyone done this movie?
Thanks!

Just put it in a DVD play and start the movie.
The see which track is actually playing and rip that one.

Just put it in a DVD play and start the movie.
The see which track is actually playing and rip that one.

I usually start each movie using DVD Player and take note of the exact length of the movie. I then select the track with that exact length of time. Has not failed yet.

In case you are interested, RIPIT is a great copy program Copies everything (less the protection) and the resulting file is recognized by DVD Player as a DVD. Using my iMAC it takes about 20 minutes for RIPIT to copy the entire DVD. RIPIT allows me to make an archive copy of DVD. When I need a copy for my ATV or my iPhone I use Handbrake to rip the RIPIT file. Digital files also copy faster, not by much but then Handbrake is a slow program. Hope that helps.
