I'm trying to reload my starbucks card. it looks like they accept apple pay. this doesn't really work for me, as it keeps saying billing error. i thought it was a zip code thing, so i added the extra 4 digits to the zip code, and it still gives error.

anyone with starbucks app, reloading with apple pay and got it to work? my apple pay card works as usual in stores that accept it.

not sure it is your issue but I have found Starbucks and some others to be very particular about all the address items - if your credit card had rd. abbreviation for road then Starbucks billing address must have the same, etc. The card's name and address much match exactly.

it has never worked for me since day 1. I emaiked them and they say they were working on the problem. That was a few months ago and it still doesn't work.

well glad i'm not the only one. i reentered the address, still no go, it gives billing error. the kicker is that the transaction went through but then another apple pay notification appears saying it's been refunded, and the starbucks app says billing error.
my apple pay works just fine at macy's on the same day.

oh well. i'll just have to refill it manually going to the cashier then.

I have it working for me. My address in the Starbucks app has my street abbreviated, but my address for Apple Pay has the full address (from my contact card). Try removing your card from Apple Pay and re-add it. This may help.

I finally got it to work. The problem is capitalization, one in Starbucks is lower case, the one in the billing is all upper case based on USPS address standard. Starbucks is pretty damn picky
