I thought if you were an iPhone owner you were able to get wifi access at starbucks for free. Can anyone confirm this? If so how do you sign into it while at starbucks?
That has been on and off a few times. At present, I don't think it is true, but you would simply access their Wi-Fi network and try to surf to a website in Safari, then it would prompt you for your iPhone number and you'd get on. You can also get the free Wi-Fi if you are an at&t/Yahoo! DSL or U-Verse Subscriber, using a similar technique.
I don't think you are able to anymore. You can access itunes or the app store to dl and browse however as far as going to surf on Safari it will not work. Im at starbucks right now and I have to sign up my Yahoo account inorder to be online.
---- Just asked the employee here about it, they said they have no idea.....they havent heard anything about it...
They do have 2 free hours a day if you have an active (within 30 days) Starbucks loadable card, all you do is put money on the card, go to starbucks.com, register the card, activate rewards and you are good to go. You have to keep the card active so every 30 days you have to put $5 on the card but well worth it.
