Hey guys,

Just a few gameplay questions for anyone that has Starcraft 2...

Are we still able to play custom games against computer opponents? Thats fun to do if you don't have internet access.

If you buy the retail package and enter your key do you then have access to a digital download of the game? I hate carrying around the game if I don't have to and am debating between buying the retail package or just doing a digital download.

I'm stuck at work all day and can't access any game sites so any help would be appreciated. Also anyone want to throw a review up? I will have to wait until tonight to play

Are we still able to play custom games against computer opponents? Technically yes, but not offline. You have to login to battle.net to even play single player games and the campaign.

If you buy the retail package and enter your key do you then have access to a digital download of the game? Yes, just activate the key supplied with the retail cd on battle.net and it will give you the option to download the client.

I can't review it yet, just ran home to install over lunch ;)

Haha I actually ran to Target at lunch then dropped it off at my house. I did take the booklet with me back to work so at least I could read that over. I'm out at 5 eastern so I'm close.:D

It's kind of complicated. There is an online mode where you have access to all the single player goodies minus the achievements and whatnot. But I think everytime you make a major change of some kind (install patch or something for example) then you need to relog into bnet once.

My quick review: I'm about half way into the campaign on Hard. No no... I didn't rush it. I'm pretty good at RTS games though I don't play them often. I have to say some of the "acting" if any was kind of bad; not going to say who, but you'll notice and you'll go when you see it. But I love the story line so far and I can feel that they are building up a big twist with sub plots as well. Without trying to give too much away, the campaigns have many different types of challenges, which is always fun, and the setting is very cool since there's night and day, rain or shine.

I did read on Kotaku that playing SC2 on the Mac overheats the video card. The temp of my CPU was hitting anywhere from 73-77 while I was playing and I was playing on "Medium" graphics settings. I'd hate to know what would happen if I put it on high. I really don't feel like installing Windows on this just to play StarCraft. I can live without the crazy details/graphics.

I knew I was going to be stuck to my computer with this game and I was. It's a very good game.
