I decided to try and game on my new macbook pro 13in (2011) with:
2.7GHz dual-core
Intel Core i7
4GB 1333MHz
500GB 5400-rpm1
Intel HD Graphics 3000
Idle my cpu is usually at 35-40 degrees (Celsius) and the rest of my enclosed base's 30 degrees with the fan running at 2000rpm
Knowing that MacBooks aren't gaming laptops, i decided to try and play Starcraft 2 Demo before buying it and i noticed that the fan ran 6000 rpm+
and the cpu went all the way to 90 degrees while the bases stayed the same!
And this is on the low graphic settings too!
So im wondering if i continue to play Starcraft 2 at 6000rpm and 90degrees cpu will it damage my laptop in the long run? and i was running what might be some solutions to my problem?
Id also like to find a cooling pad/fan that is designed for my mac, cause i know the fan/vent is underneath the screen so im wondering some products i can buy (no matter what the price) that will help keep my macbook cool and fan to a low!

Thankyouuu :)

Is it summer where you live? cuz in summer temps can certainly go up... not sure about specific temps though..

I have 2007 MBP and in the winter (freezing cold) used to play sc2 on boot camp just fine. In the summer (really hot) it would eventually overheat and win7 would go to sleep even with the AC on. A stand with a fan fixed the problem though, but now i game on a PC. :p

First off, you don't need to post this in both the MacBook Pro forum and the gaming forum. Second, there's no problem with your computer. A temperature of 90 degrees is completely normal while gaming and there's no absolute need for anything to cool your computer more than it cools itself. Your computer is extremely unlikely to get any damage from running at those temps and if it did get hot enough to do damage, your computer would shut itself off to prevent any damage. So don't worry about the heat, it's normal.
