Yup, I agree it's a bit of a silly question.

I'm definitely looking forward to Starcraft. And Spore would be fun too.
I just wish they would hurry up and add a new unit. The Siege Tank's been there for ages.

I can't wait either. I've been playing through the original StarCraft and WarCraft III while I wait.

I just hope it will run on my (GMA X3100) MacBook. :eek:

I'm thinking you probably won't be able to. But I have nothing to back that up. :)

rbarris (the blizzard rep who posts [used to post?] on this forum) said that blizzard was at least looking at making it work on intel macs with integrated graphics. So there's hope, at least. :)

if ANYONE'S gonna release a major game that runs on the GMA.... it's gonna be blizzard.

Blizzard have always had the reputation of supporting lower end hardware, IMHO I think they will have to support the GMA and X3000 video cards but I can say I doubt the performance will be blistering.

Oh plz support GMA... or else I'll have to buy a MBP:eek:...
Or a cheap windows notebook:eek::eek:

I'm sure they'll support it. Starcraft ran on moderate hardware, as well as Warcraft II & III back in the day. The graphics on the previews don't look that complex either, which is a good thing IMO.

I can't wait! This is the only game I'm really awaiting this year. Gogogo! An awesome, high-quality real, native, non-handiCidercrapped game from freaking Blizzard, one of the best game producers out there, if not the best. This is going to be awesome.

With the massive following Starcraft has, Starcraft II will be selling off the shelves when it's released. I can't wait :) I do hope, along with others, that it will be 100% compatible with Macs and MBs.

Would be nice to have an update from rbarris, regarding Starcraft 2 on the X3100 in the latest MacBooks.

Haha, you guys are such optimists. The game is still pre-alpha, you aren't going to see it on shelves till 09 at the earliest. Unless for some mad reason and the cash injection from WoW sales cause it to come out for the holiday season.
