Is there a reason for this? :) is there a way to have it back? Every time I start the comp up its just black screen with no logo which i got use to it but without a chime im always paranoid its not actually booting haha.

Did you tried to do a NVRAM reset?

Disconnect all external speakers, select internal speakers, and adjust the volume?

I did a reset to the nvram and it worked like magic! Although it felt like the boot time is slightly longer than when I didn’t have the chime lol but whatever! Thanks guys!
