so I noticed since doing the last update the start up chime isn't working again.. I've checked the settings.. out put is set to my speakers and not muted.. I've reset the pram at which point it did do it once.. next time I rebooted no sound again... also performed an sac reset.. no luck.. any suggestions guys?? on a mid 20 mba/i3/8gb ram/256/11.2.1

ny somewhere
other audio plays ok? ie youtube, etc? you can google this: there's a terminal command to play (or not play) the startup sound... might be worth looking into.

how often do you reboot, or start up?

i have the sound off on both my macs... & don't miss it.
