Hi folks, looking for some solutions to a start up problem. I’ve got a 2009 17” MacBook Pro running El Capitan.
Have had some shutdown unexpectedly problems but just had to persevere. However, now things have taken a serious turn! On start up the white screen is blank for longer than normal. Then when the logo and progress bar appears they are large. When the progress bar gets to halfway the screen goes black.
Have tried the usual, safe mode start up, opt+cmd+R+P, ctrl+alt+cmd, cmd+R, ctrl+cmd+R all to no avail.
Anyone got any ideas? Have a broken 2008 MacBook Pro with a dead logic board that I can use for spare parts if it’s possible.
