When I start my iMac, a few programs start along with the computer. I don't want any programs starting by default. I have reviewed the Preferences of these programs, and see nothing to uncheck regarding auto startup. And I don't see anything related to this in System Preferences. Can anyone give me some advice as to how I can start the computer without programs starting with it? Thanks

You might want to check in Accounts in the System Preferences. Look at Login Items. There might have a list of your programs and just uncheck them.

That is if that is what your problem is.
