I have bought a 16g 3G for my wife as a surprise and I want to load it with some great apps. She has the iPhone and rarely uses it other than for email and calendar, but I know she wants to do more.

Can you please recommend the best apps for a working mom?

I am starting from scratch and want the best this thing can offer. Thanks

Some great free ones are ABC Player especially if she watches ABC shows, Yahoo Entertainment, Pandora if she loves music, and SkyGrid is a GREAT app for news by category.

ABC is awesome, Netflix if you subscribe, Epicurious, Guardian eyewitness, Dragon dictation, PCalc

dropbox is good, gives you 2gb free space on the internet. Easy to transfer files, videos, to/from iPad and computer. No need to sync, everything is wireless.

Adobe Ideas - free paint program

Evernote - free note taking app

Make sure you are syncing it up with her iTunes account. So that way it is ready to go for her. Unless you share an account then it doesn't matter.

The best app is free, iBook. Maybe buy her a book she'd like. Of course, there are lots of free classics.
