I updated to Mojave when it came out. I notice that when I restart or shut down my mac, then restart again. If I don't force quit all the apps I used when I shut down or restart they all start up when my mac starts again. Is there a new setting that corrects this problem? Thanks teqmter

Try this:

1. Be running in the finder
2. Choose "shut down" from the Apple menu -- but WAIT A MOMENT
3. You should see the shut down alert
4. See the checkbox "Reopen windows when logging back in" ??
5. Is there a checkmark in it?
6. If so, you want to UNCHECK that checkbox.

Try shutting down and rebooting now.
Any better?

Thanks Guys. I guess all the other op updates didn't change the setting in question. It's a oversight on my behalf . teqmter
