Hey guys

Im a relatively new user (6 months or so) Macs are great and would never go back to windows. I have a standard 17'' MBP C2D. Having my first small problem and need some help, please.

Noticed a change in my startup in the last two days and just want to know if anybody here has experienced the same problem and what they did about it.

Basically the problem is that the :apple: logo on startup has increased to three times its origonal size and looks a slight bit pixelated. The spiral loading symbol that spins has also increaed to about the same size. Theyre both too big.

I really get worried when technology does things you dont tell them to so i thought id better ask here. I havent changed anything in the settings or done anything different than i have been doing in the last 6 months.

I have boot camp installed but have used windows about three times for college programmes in the last 6 months and havent used it recently.

I hope its not kernel problems or something. Any suggestions on what i can do to get it back to the norm.

Thank you all kindly for your responses.

Stephen

Since I removed the bootcamp partition, my MacBook starts with a folder icon with a question mark in the middle, for around a second, then swaps to the usual Apple icon. Weird.
