can you put a video file/or pic in the background and overlay the scrolling text on it? then export it as a video file so we can use it on the video editing app: ReelDirector?
probably a PITA to write but that would be sweet!!

It sounds like you should just get iMovie, which has the crawl feature built-in, since iLife 06 I believe. The effect is called Far Far Away.

But I hope you'll enjoy StarWordz, for on-the-fly effects. You can even use it as a teleprompter!

Right now, it's set for three paragraphs (as long as you want to type). It doesn't allow you to change the font size, but the capability is there. Perhaps if we do an iPad version, where there's more space (pun intended) to work with...
