Hi!

Just unboxed my new AirPods Max!
When i toutched them i got static electricity that i felt in my finger.

I have heard that human electricity cause a lot of voltage, but i guess the AirPods Max are very well grounded to lead things like this away to not prevent any damage?

But i come to think about if it could be something wrong with them, or is it kinda normal? It happened while it was on another person and i toutched them.

Best Regards

If it's pretty dry where you are, relative humidity-wise, then static electricity is pretty common. I've shocked myself on my APMs, watches, cats, my wife, blankets, etc., etc., etc., so I wouldn't worry about it. Are the APMs acting strangely since the shock? If not, I'd not worry and enjoy!

Yes the air is dry, since we use heaters inside to keep room temperature during the winter, good to hear it’s normal and that you also had it happen too :)

You... touched a metal object. That's how static electricity works. Has nothing to do with them being "grounded" as they are not in contact with the ground.

Yes and as long as this electricity not finding the way into the electronic it have nothing to say, just wanted to hear if more users got it too or if it could been something wrong with mine.

Now i know it’s normal thing to happen when toutching them from time to another, strange thing i never got this type of static electricity when using my MacBook, but i guess it’s different when one toutch something on a desk then something you wear :)
