Every once in awhile I touch my MacBook Pro and get a static shock.

I was wondering, will this damage my computer? I am only touching the outside case. I don't think I've noticed any problems so far.

Thanks for your help.

Nope not unless the discharge is a continuous discharge like from a taser lol

Stuff like this is designed for static electricity absorption. I've shocked my laptop computers for about two decades, without incident...so far.
