Hi everyone!

I've been using my iMac Pro for a while, and there is a strange glitch in bootcamp windows: the speakers start producing a crackling sound (like radio static) approximately 30 minutes after I boot up windows, and then it gets louder and louder until it's impossible to hear anything else. The only solutions I've found so far is disable and enable the speakers or reload windows, but it still comes back 30 minutes later. Also nothing like this is ever happening in Mac OS so it's definitely not a hardware problem.

Any ideas on what I can try to fix this? Apart from reinstalling windows, tried that already, didn't help.

I know its annoying to keep doing it, but there is a much better chance of something actually being done about it through providing data to them there, than by a post in a place like MR.

As I understand it, there isn’t a fix until Apple fixes the drivers. It happens occasionally as well but less frequently in OS X. Perhaps Mojave will release with better drivers as T2 chips appear in more of the lineup.

I have had the issues too. I'm wondering if using drivers from the manufacturer might fix this (as opposed to Apple's boot camp drivers). I may try if I have time.
