I have the one from the sinfuliphone repo and had no trouble with it so far.

The status notifier from the sinful repo is not supposed to show up in the settings menu.

are you talking about statusnotifier 0.2.10 made by Zotyo in Modmyi?

weird, i just read the description saying its for iphone 2.x, but somehow it works for me running 3.1.2.

anyways back on topic, ive never seen any settings/pref panel for this app. my icons shows up in my statusbar fine.

using statusnotifier from sinfuliphone AND preference loader from cydia allow for viewing in the settings option.

That guys, that other one from Modmi works, but the app doesn't open up. I think it was written for an older OS version

Any idea if a new version is coming out soon?

The original developer abandoned the app about when 3.0 came out. If you get version 0.2.11-1 it was updated to work under 3.1 & 3.1.2. It does have a settings panel in the settings menu. The old one 0.2.10 is buggy under 3.1

Add sinfuliphonerepo.com/ to Cydia.

Delete the older one first.

i've downloaded the latest version and I too have double notifications:

It's almost as if the status notifier is not overriding the default notifier..

i actually only need to show the silent mode icon on the status bar..maybe there's another way to do this other than status notifier?

FWIW, I have been using 3G w/ OS 3.0 and StatusNotifier 0.2.11-1 AND 3GS w/ OS 3.0.1 and StatusNotifier 0.2.11-1 without any problems whatsoever. It also appears under settings on both phones with the option to turn off/on each type of notification icon...
