Steam Client crashes on Retina iMac

I am trying to run Steam on my Retina iMac but when the first dialog comes to login to Steam, the hourglass is being displayed and nothing happens. In the console.log I see the following:
17.11.14 14:19:51,205 Steam Helper[662]: Internals of CFAllocator not known; out-of-memory failures via CFAllocator will not result in termination. http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=45650


My iMac has 32GB of RAM, so there is no memory issue..

Any ideas?

I have the same issue. I would be very thankfull if some1 could solve this

After updating to 10.10.1 the issue was solved.
