OS X Steam crashes on download

Anyone experience/fix issues with Steam crashing? Every time I click the install button for a game, Steam crashes, and I get the Ignore, Report, Reopen dialog box. I've already tried removing the folder from application support and reinstalling, but no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

Are you starting up Steam with absolutely nothing else running, no apps of any kind at all? If so, I don't know what to tell you beyond putting in a support ticket via the web site with Steam. Maybe posting on the Steam Mac forum as well might get some better ideas.
 
I ended up having to use the app AppCleaner to remove all traces of Steam from my Mac and then reinstalled. Downloading worked after that. Must've been some corrupted preference or cache file or something. Weird.
